STEPS and Ed Sheeran have been fighting for the top spot this week!! 

They were so close! Steps triumphant comeback with their latest album Tears on the Dancefloor debuts at Number 2 just 16,000 copies behind Ed Sheeran on the Official Album Chart. They still secure the most downloaded album of week charting at Number 1 on downloads and digital sales.

Tears on the Dancefloor is the first album of all new recorded material in over 15 years, it marks the groups fifth album to chart in the Top 3. They are currently getting ready for their 22-date upcoming arena tour Party on the Dancefloor which starts in November through to December.

Rag'N'Bone Man drops to number 3 with Human and Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. charts at number 4. Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May debuts at 5 with her latest album Life Love Flesh Blood marking it her third Top 10 on the chart. Just one place behind are Texas with Jump on Board at number 6.
At number 7 is Drake's More, while Metal band While She Sleeps debut at number 8 with You Are We, Moana's soundtrack charts at 9 and Ed Sheeran's X charts at 10.
Also charting for their debut this week, Maximo Park are brand new at 11, with Risk To Exist, Americana goes in 15, while Steps' 2011 #1 album The Ultimate Collection returns to the Top 40 charting at Number 17.
David Bowie scores two new entries thanks to Record Store Day – rare live performance Cracked Actor is in at 20, and remixes of Hunky Dory album tracks Bowpromo lands at 38.
Also new this week are: Barry Manilow's This Is My Town – Songs Of New York (26); country singer Brad Paisley's Love And War (33); Incubus, with 8 (35); and a re-entry from Shawn Mendes, as Illuminate bounds 53 slots to 39.
