Little Mix's Touch Becomes The Group's Tenth Top 10 Single!
Little Mix are storming the charts and there's no stopping them! Jesy, Leigh-Anne, Jade and Perrie have come a long way since they became the first girl group to win the UK X Factor in 2011. Touch marks the groups tenth Top 10 single in the UK along with Cannonball, Wings, DNA, Move, Word Up!, Salute, Black Magic, Secret Love Song and Shout Out To My Ex. The song was awarded a Silver Certification by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) on January 13, 2017 selling over 200,000 copies in the United Kingdom alone.
The album Glory Days was also a ground breaker for Little Mix not only was it their first #1 album, they also became the first girl group to have the longest running number one album in the UK since Destiny's Child's Survivor in 2001. And then so, the album became the long reigning number-one album by a girl group since the Spice Girls's Spice in 1996. The album was awarded a Platinum Certification by (BPI) in December, 2016 and has sold over 434,000 copies in the United Kingdom.
